When asked to redesign the web site of First Baptist Church of Deerfield Beach, Florida, we decided to incorporate a few new features. These features would enable staff to "login" for the purposes of updating content. We decided that a complete content management system (CMS) would not be needed due to only a few items being updated – mainly, the sermon series banner, links to sermon .pdf's, and a calendar event system.
The web site content is based on a print piece – informational booklet – that the pastor had currently developed. The icons on the front page were redrawn based on the booklet. The only digital version of the logo the church had was a deteriorated JPEG. Therefore, the logo also had to be redrawn from scratch.
